Juruá

Juruá from the Italian house Olfattology, released in 2021, is a rose and coffee fragrance. Floral is the word everyone uses for it; about half also find it gourmand, and a smaller group musky or ambery.

Citrus blossom and lemon blossom open it with a bright, honeyed, slightly green floral freshness. The heart is rose in several forms, red rose and Damask rose together, full, slightly jammy and a little spicy, with jasmine adding a warm, rich sweetness. Coffee and roasted coffee beans are the surprise, dark, bitter and roasted, and they give the roses a depth and a slightly smoky edge that keeps them from feeling too pretty. Vanilla softens the base with a creamy sweetness, and musk and amber give it a warm, skin-like finish.
