Ambrette, or musk mallow, opens it, a soft, slightly nutty, skin-like musk with a faint fruitiness. Red poppy forms the heart, and since poppies have little scent of their own, this is an imagined floral: soft, slightly powdery, a little sweet, closer to a warm petal than a sharp flower. Tonka bean closes it with a creamy, almond-and-hay sweetness that gives the scent its gourmand character without turning it into dessert.
