'Cause I'm Happy from the French house Musicology, composed by Nathalie Lorson and released in 2020, is a bright, musky citrus woody scent. Woody is the word everyone uses for it; about two thirds also find it musky or citrusy, and a third floral or ambery.

Grapefruit and bergamot give the opening a sharp, slightly bitter sparkle, and orange blossom adds a honeyed, slightly green floral brightness. Cypress and cedar bring dry, resinous, clean woods to the heart. The base is musky and soft: ambrette, a natural musk with a faint pear-like sweetness, sits alongside musk itself, and ambergris adds a warm, salty, skin-like glow. Vetiver gives a rooty, earthy edge that keeps the whole thing from feeling too clean.

'Cause I'm Happy is worn by anyone. Its fresh, musky character suits spring and summer and daytime wear, and it should appeal to someone who wants a cheerful citrus with a soft, woody, long-lasting drydown.
