Spectre Wraith by French Avenue is a dark, boozy woody scent for men, released in 2024 and composed by Miroslav Petkov. Everyone who describes it calls it woody, about two thirds also find it gourmand, and a third add spicy, so the woods come soaked in something sweet and warm.
Rum and spices open it, a heady, slightly syrupy start with a glow of heat behind it. The heart is the core of the fragrance: patchouli and coffee give an earthy, roasted bitterness, while sandalwood and vetiver add a creamy smoothness and a dry, smoky edge. Sugar cane in the base keeps a thread of sweetness running underneath the woods right to the end.
About half of wearers find it long lasting, with a smaller group reporting moderate longevity. Sillage splits almost evenly between moderate and strong.
