Cosmic Tonka

Cosmic Tonka is a smooth, musky rose-and-oud from French Avenue, released in 2025 and worn by anyone. Woody, musky and floral are the three words everyone uses for it, and about half also find it green, ambery or citrusy, which fits a polished, modern take on a Gulf-style blend.

Bergamot opens it with a bright, slightly bitter citrus, and saffron adds its dry, leathery, faintly metallic spice. The heart is Bulgarian rose and rose, warm, honeyed and slightly jammy, set against agarwood, which brings a dark, resinous wood without the harsher medicinal edge some ouds have. Oakmoss adds a damp, green bitterness that is where the green impression comes from. The base is tonka bean, amber and two musks, the tonka giving a sweet, almond-and-hay warmth, the amber a resinous glow, and white musk and musk a clean, cottony, skin-like finish that smooths everything together.

It is a scent for cooler weather, daytime or evening, worn by anyone who likes rose and oud softened with tonka and musk.
