Passion Rose by Lorenzo Pazzaglia (2022) is a rose with a lot going on. Wood and flowers share the lead, sweetness and greenery are noticed by most people, and about half find musk and citrus.
Grapefruit, bergamot, petitgrain and passionfruit give a bright, tart, tropical opening, with black currant and pink pepper adding juicy fruit and sparkle. The heart is a rich rose blend, Bulgarian and Damask, with jasmine and saffron adding warmth and a leathery spice. The base is dense and textured: agarwood gives a smoky oud, guaiac wood a soft smoke, oakmoss and patchouli leaf a damp, green earthiness, leather a supple texture, and vanilla and musk a smooth, sweet finish.
Passion Rose is shared and can be worn by anyone. It suits autumn and spring evenings, dinners and special occasions, for people who love rose and oud with a fruity, green twist.
