The notes are a short list: rose, Damask rose and incense. The two roses give the scent its body, the Damask variety being the richer, more honeyed and slightly spicy of the two, so the flower reads as full and deep rather than fresh and dewy. Incense surrounds it with a dry, resinous smoke, lemony at the top and faintly sweet underneath, which is where the ambery impression comes from. The combination is a classic Middle Eastern pairing, treated here with restraint rather than heaviness.
