Act 2 is the cardamom study from the Dutch house Pantomime, composed by Fredrik Dalman and released in 2023. Everyone who describes it calls it spicy, and nothing else, which is faithful to a scent built on two materials.
Cardamom is a spice with several faces: green and fresh like crushed pods, cool and almost camphorous like eucalyptus, and warm and slightly sweet in its drydown. Here it is given room to show all of them. Bisabolene is a woody, balsamic, faintly peppery molecule found in several spices and resins, and it extends the cardamom, drawing out its warmer, softer side and giving it a smooth woody floor so the spice does not simply evaporate. The scent develops little and stays close, becoming gentler and warmer over time.
Act 2 is worn by anyone. Its clean, aromatic spice suits daily wear in most seasons, and it should appeal to someone who loves cardamom as a note and wants to wear it on its own, without citrus or sweetness around it.
