Act 1 is the opening study in the minimal series from the Dutch house Pantomime, composed by Fredrik Dalman and released in 2023. Everyone who describes it calls it musky, and there is nothing else to call it: the scent is built on a single family of materials.
Ambrette is the seed of a hibiscus plant, and it is one of the few natural musks. Its scent is soft, warm and slightly sweet, with a faint pear-like fruitiness and a hint of something like cognac or skin. Ambrettolide is the molecule largely responsible for that effect, and here it is used alongside the natural material to make the musk cleaner, smoother and more radiant. The result is a scent that smells like warm skin and clean linen at once, with a quiet, slightly powdery glow that develops very little and simply stays.
Act 1 is worn by anyone. It suits daily wear in any season, close settings and people who like intimate, skin-like scents without flowers, spice or sweetness.
