Ciel d'Orage Eau de Parfum is a dark, smoky woody scent from the Omani house Ojar, released in 2022 and composed by Jordi Fernández, worn by anyone. Woody is how everyone describes it, and a few also notice spice, flowers, amber or leather, which fits a dense composition in which the woods dominate.
Artemisia opens it with a bitter, green, slightly medicinal herbal note, and saffron adds a dry, leathery spice alongside it. Rose sits in the heart, dark and slightly jammy, more a shadow than a bloom, and it is surrounded by wood: pine for a resinous, needle-like freshness, guaiac wood for a smoky, slightly sweet dryness, and agarwood for a deep, resinous, faintly medicinal core. The base is where the storm of the name settles, with suede adding a soft, powdery leather, styrax a smoky, balsamic resin, sandalwood a creamy wood, and vetiver and patchouli a dry, earthy anchor.
It is a cold-weather, evening scent, worn by anyone who likes smoke, pine and oud and prefers their woods austere rather than sweet.
