Musk & Leather is a sweet, fruity leather from Ahmed Al Maghribi, released in 2024 and worn by anyone. Gourmand is how everyone describes it, most also find it woody, and a few notice musk, amber or leather, which fits a dessert-like scent with a dark base.
Raspberry, cranberry and apricot open it, the raspberry tart and jammy, the cranberry sharp and red, the apricot soft and honeyed, and honey itself adds a sticky, floral, faintly waxy sweetness that sets the gourmand tone. The heart is cocoa and cacao, dusty, bitter and chocolatey, with vanilla softening them into something richer and sweeter. The base is where the name comes from: leather brings a smooth, slightly smoky richness, agarwood a dark, resinous wood, patchouli and papyrus an earthy, dry, slightly dusty depth, and musk and amber a soft, warm, skin-like finish.
It is a cold-weather, evening scent, worn by anyone who likes chocolate and red fruit with leather and oud beneath them.
