Peach is the opening and the point of the scent, ripe, velvety and sweet, and it is sharpened by blood orange, juicier and slightly more bitter than ordinary orange, and freshened by green leaves, which add a crisp, sappy, slightly bitter edge that stops the fruit from being cloying. Patchouli is the only heart note, dark, earthy and slightly damp, and it gives the peach a grown-up, woody frame. The base is honey and cognac, the honey sticky, floral and faintly waxy, the cognac warm, sweet and clearly alcoholic, so the drydown smells like peaches steeped in brandy.
It is a scent for mild weather and evenings, worn by anyone who likes fruit-led fragrances with a boozy, honeyed finish rather than a floral one.
