Alahine from Teo Cabanel, created by Jean-Francois Latty in 2007, is a warm, rich floral with a resinous, ambery base. Flowers lead, with wood behind them and touches of spice, resin, amber and citrus.

It opens with bergamot for a light citrus brightness and ylang-ylang for a creamy, sunny floral sweetness. The heart is a classic bouquet of rose, jasmine and orange blossom, with pepper adding a gentle bite. The base is generous and glowing: benzoin and French labdanum give a balmy, ambery warmth, vanilla a soft sweetness, sandalwood creamy wood, iris a powdery touch, and patchouli and musk an earthy, sensual depth.

People are evenly split between moderate and long-lasting wear, and the trail is moderate to strong. It is voted for autumn and winter and leans towards evenings. That makes it a good fit for dinners, cold-weather occasions and anyone who loves a full, golden floral amber.

Alahine — unisex fragrance by Teo Cabanel (released 2007). Top notes: Ylang-Ylang, Bergamot. Heart notes: Pepper, Rose, Orange Blossom, Jasmine. Base notes: Benzoin, French labdanum, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Patchouli, Iris, Musk. — Parfica open fragrance database
