Intenso di Ginestra from the Italian house Carthusia, released in 2025 and composed by Antoine Lie and Luca Maffei, is a floral fragrance with a strong citrus side and lighter sweet, green, woody and musky accords. It is worn by anyone.
Lemon, bergamot and petitgrain open with a bright, slightly bitter citrus freshness, petitgrain bringing a green, leafy tone. Spanish broom, or ginestra, the flower at the centre, has a honeyed, hay-like, sunny character reminiscent of Mediterranean hillsides in bloom. Jasmine, neroli and tuberose add creamy, luminous floral depth. The base settles onto vanilla, sandalwood and musk, warm, creamy and soft.
As an intense take on broom, it captures a sunny, southern Italian landscape. It suits spring and summer, daytime and relaxed occasions, and should appeal to those who like bright citrus florals with a honeyed, slightly green warmth.
