Intenso di Basilico, released in 2025 by the Italian house Carthusia and composed by Antoine Lie and Luca Maffei, is a woody fragrance with a strong citrus side and lighter spicy, green, floral and aromatic touches. It is worn by anyone.
Bergamot and mandarin open with a bright, juicy citrus sparkle, while basil, the star of the composition, brings a fresh, green, slightly peppery and anise-like herbal note. Pink pepper adds a light, fruity spice, and tea a clean, gently bitter elegance. Jasmine softens the middle with a creamy floral touch. The base is dry and earthy: vetiver gives a rooty, smoky woodiness, patchouli an earthy depth and cashmeran a soft, musky warmth.
