Orange blossom opens it, which gives the first stage a soft, slightly honeyed white floral brightness rather than the usual citrus. Saffron carries the heart, adding a warm, leathery spice that colours the whole scent and makes it richer than a classic vetiver. The base is Haitian vetiver, dry, smoky and earthy, and this is where it spends most of its time, with the saffron still faintly present.
