It opens with blackcurrant and bergamot for a tart, fruity brightness, quickly joined by ylang-ylang and a truffle note that gives a strange, earthy, almost chocolate-like richness. The heart is heady: black orchid and tuberose are lush, creamy white flowers with a slightly narcotic quality, softened by fruity notes. The base is long and layered, with patchouli and vetiver bringing earth and smoke, incense a dry resinous haze, vanilla and sandalwood warmth and sweetness, and lotus a faint watery lift.
