Fili by V Canto, composed by Paolo Terenzi and released in 2019, is a scent where four impressions compete: everyone who describes it calls it spicy, green, woody and citrusy, and about half add sweet and ambery.
The notes come as one list. Grapefruit and bergamot open with a bitter, tart brightness, and blackcurrant with currant leaf and bud adds a sharp, green, slightly sulphurous fruitiness that is more tangy than sweet. Cardamom and cinnamon warm the middle, cardamom cool and aromatic, cinnamon dry and hot. The base is dark and dense: patchouli for earth, oakmoss for a damp, bitter green, cypriol for a smoky, oud-like wood, leather for grip and amber for a warm, resinous softness.
Fili is worn by anyone. There are no community reports yet on longevity or projection. The green-spicy opening and heavy base suggest autumn and spring evenings, and a wearer who prefers bold, slightly bitter compositions to soft, pretty ones.
