Cicuta by the Italian house V Canto, released in 2016 and composed by Paolo Terenzi, is a citrus scent with a sweet floral middle. Citrus is the accord every wearer names; most also find it gourmand and floral, and about a third describe spicy, amber and leather shades.
The notes are listed together. Bergamot, clementine and orange give a sunny, slightly sweet citrus opening, with coriander adding a green, peppery lift. Bulgarian rose and rose form the floral heart, soft and classic, while borage, a herb with a cucumber-like coolness, keeps the middle fresh. Vanilla and vanilla flower bring a creamy sweetness that explains the gourmand reading. The base of amber and musk is warm and smooth, and birch adds a dry, faintly tarry, leathery edge that stops the whole thing from feeling too soft.
It is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. The mix of citrus and vanilla works across seasons, from a spring afternoon to an autumn evening, and suits people who like bright scents with a warm, slightly unusual dry-down.
