Tabac Nomade

Tabac Nomade is a spicy tobacco fragrance from the French house Houbigant, released in 2023 and composed by Antoine Lie and Luca Maffei. Everyone who describes it calls it spicy; about two thirds also find it gourmand, and a third each mention floral, aromatic, leathery and citrus sides.

Bergamot gives a brief, bright lift before saffron takes over with its warm, slightly metallic, leathery spice. Rose sits in the heart but reads as a warm, dusky accent to the tobacco rather than a flower in its own right. Tobacco leaf is the core of the scent, dry and sweet at once, with leather adding a smooth, slightly smoky depth. Vanilla and tonka bean soften the base into something warm and faintly sweet without turning it into a dessert.

It is a shared scent, worn by anyone. The profile points to autumn and winter and to evenings; people who like tobacco scents but find many of them too sugary may appreciate the saffron and leather keeping it drier.
