The notes are listed without stages. Bulgarian rose leads, a deep, slightly honeyed, classic rose rather than a fresh or green one. Gardenia and magnolia join it, the gardenia creamy and heady, the magnolia lighter and lemony-fresh, so the bouquet has both richness and lift. A note described as velvet suggests a soft, textured smoothness in the drydown, and musk underneath gives the whole thing a warm, skin-like finish that most wearers do not consciously notice.
