Frankincense and bergamot open it, the incense dry, smoky and lemony, the bergamot adding a brighter citrus edge. The heart is warm and slightly powdery: cloves bring a sharp, sweet spice, jasmine a creamy floral richness, and heliotrope a soft almond-marzipan haze. The base of cocoa and benzoin is where it turns gourmand, the cocoa dark and bitter rather than milky, the benzoin adding a balsamic, vanilla-like warmth that carries the finish. The character suggests cold months and evenings, for anyone who likes incense with a sweet, spiced, chocolatey side rather than a purely churchy one.
