The opening is bright and peppery: bergamot and sweet orange give juicy citrus, and pink pepper a rosy, sparkling heat. The heart is a spiced bouquet, with Damask rose and jasmine giving a full, slightly honeyed floral body and a blend of spices keeping it warm. The base is where the sweetness and the wood arrive together: vanilla and tonka bean bring a smooth, creamy sweetness, amber adds resinous warmth, sandalwood softens, and cedar and oakmoss give a dry, slightly earthy finish that stops it becoming sugary.
It is worn by anyone. The warmth of the base points to cooler months and evening wear, and it suits a person who likes rich, rounded fragrances where no single element dominates.
