Yosemite

Yosemite from the Italian house Olfattology, released in 2021, is a citrus woody musk with a leathery edge. Citrus is the word everyone uses for it; about half also find it woody or musky, and a quarter floral, aromatic or ambery.

Grapefruit, bigarade, bergamot and orange make a bright, slightly bitter opening, with pink pepper adding a gentle, rosy spice and lavender a clean, herbal freshness. Jasmine brings a soft floral warmth to the middle. The base is where the character deepens: cedar gives a dry, pencil-like woodiness, leather a smooth, slightly smoky depth, and patchouli an earthy foundation. White musk and musk soften it into a clean, skin-like finish, and amber adds a gentle, lasting warmth.

Yosemite is worn by anyone. The fresh citrus top suits spring and summer days, while the leather and woods carry it into cooler evenings, and it should appeal to someone who wants a citrus scent with more structure than usual.
