Cédrat de Diamante

Cédrat de Diamante from the Italian house Versace, composed by Marie Salamagne in 2019, is a woody citrus built on four materials. Wood is what everyone notices, and about half also find it sweet and citrusy.

Italian lemon and pink grapefruit open it bright, zesty and slightly bitter, the kind of citrus that smells of peel rather than juice. From there it moves straight to the base: cedar brings a clean, dry, pencil-shaving wood, and vetiver an earthy, faintly smoky dryness. With no floral heart or sweet base in between, the citrus and the wood sit side by side for most of the wear.

It is worn by anyone and has the crisp, uncluttered character of a daytime scent for warm weather, for the office or the weekend, for someone who likes lemon and cedar done plainly and well.
