Cianuro, composed by Paolo Terenzi for the Italian house V Canto in 2018, is a lush, fruity floral with a woody and leathery base, worn by anyone. Floral is the description everyone gives; most also call it sweet and woody, and a minority find it green, fresh or leathery.
Pineapple, mango, papaya and passionfruit make a ripe, tropical opening. The heart is full of flowers: rose and Turkish rose, narcissus with its green, slightly animalic edge, lily of the valley and water lily for dewy freshness, and neroli for a bright, honeyed lift. The base turns darker: leather and oakmoss for a dry, earthy depth, patchouli for earth, sandalwood and cashmere wood for a soft, creamy warmth.
Wearers have not yet reported on longevity or projection. By character it suits spring and autumn evenings and occasions where a rich, unusual floral is welcome, and anyone who likes tropical fruit set against moss and leather.
