Nº4 Neon

Nº4 Neon is bright and cold: everyone who describes it says fresh, about two thirds add citrus, and a third find it fruity-sweet or green. Thomas Kosmala composed it for his own house in 2023, and it is worn by anyone.

The opening is a trio of sharp citrus fruits, pomelo, mandarin orange and yuzu, which together feel more like a fizzing, slightly bitter zest than a sweet juice. The heart turns fruitier and greener at once: mango and melon bring a ripe, watery sweetness, while galbanum cuts through with a bitter, snapped-stem greenness that stops the fruit from becoming jammy. The base is unusual in that it is not woods or musk but aldehydes, solar notes and ozonic notes, which keep the scent airy, sparkling and clean, like bright light on water rather than anything warm or heavy.

A clean, almost electric fresh scent with a tropical twist, suited to hot weather and to anyone who prefers lift and sparkle over sweetness and depth.
