I Am King from Sean John, created in 2008 by IFF with Trudi Loren and Karyn Khoury, is a fruity, woody citrus masculine. Wood and citrus lead together, with sweetness strongly present and green, fresh and ambery touches.

It opens with cranberry for a tart, juicy fruitiness, and tangerine and orange for a bright, sunny citrus. The heart brings sea water, a cool, salty freshness, and black currant, a tangy, slightly green berry note. The base is drier and more classic: Amalfi lemon keeps a citrus thread running through, while cedar, sandalwood and vetiver give a dry, creamy and earthy woodiness, oakmoss a mossy depth and French labdanum a warm, resinous glow.

Its fruity freshness and woody base make it versatile, easy for daytime and casual evenings in the milder months. It will appeal to someone who wants a cheerful, fruit-forward masculine with a traditional woody finish.
