Striptease Flowers

Striptease Flowers from the French house Sabe Masson is a sweet citrus floral, released in 2015 and worn by anyone. Everyone who describes it names sweetness, flowers and citrus together, and about half also find it woody and ambery.

The notes are listed without a pyramid. Bergamot and mandarin orange open it bright and slightly bitter. Orange blossom and neroli, both drawn from the same tree, form the floral heart, one honeyed and rich, the other greener and fresher. The base is where the gourmand side arrives: caramel for a burnt-sugar richness, vanilla for softness, amber for warmth, and patchouli to add an earthy edge that keeps the sweetness from becoming cloying.

Longevity and sillage have not been reported in enough numbers to summarise. The structure suggests a scent that works in spring daytime as well as warmer evenings, for someone who likes orange blossom carried on caramel and vanilla.
