Oud Oriental Saba is a spicy oud from Reine de Saba, composed by Bruno Jovanovic and released in 2022. Spicy is the word everyone uses; three quarters also find it woody, about half floral, and a quarter resinous.
Black pepper, cinnamon and saffron make a hot, dry opening, the pepper sharp, the cinnamon warm and sweet, the saffron slightly leathery. Blackcurrant blossom and rose give the heart a fruity, slightly green floral softness that balances the spice. Agarwood brings a dark, smoky woodiness, supported by cedar and Dreamwood, a modern sandalwood material that adds creaminess. Labdanum gives the base a resinous, ambery warmth, and Cetalox a smooth, mineral, long-lasting amber glow.
Oud Oriental Saba is worn by anyone. Its warm, spiced character suits autumn and winter and evening wear, and it should appeal to someone who likes oud in a spicy, rose-tinged form with a radiant amber finish.
