Fig Me Up

Fig Me Up, released by Mancera in 2024 and composed by Pierre Montale, is a sweet, woody fig. Everyone who describes it uses gourmand, woody and floral together; about half also find it green and musky, and a minority leathery.

The fig appears in three forms: the green, milky bitterness of fig leaf, the ripe fruit itself and a syrupy fig nectar. Rhubarb and plum add a tart, juicy contrast early on, and violet and bourbon geranium give the heart a soft, slightly powdery floral tone. The base is where the sweetness thickens: toffee and tonka bean bring a caramel warmth, tobacco adds a dry, honeyed leafiness, and Australian sandalwood, oud and white musk hold it all on a creamy, woody floor.

It is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. The weight of toffee, tobacco and oud suggests autumn and winter rather than summer, and evening more than office wear; people who like fig scents to be cosy rather than green will find it closer to their taste.
