Coco Vanille is Mancera's 2016 feminine, composed by Pierre Montale: a creamy coconut and vanilla scent with a tropical floral heart. Sweet and floral are the words everyone uses; a third also find it woody and musky.
Coconut and white peach open it, a milky, sun-cream richness alongside a soft, juicy fruit. The heart is a trio of warm white flowers, tiare and ylang-ylang bringing a creamy, slightly solar sweetness and jasmine a heady depth, so the middle smells like a beach holiday rather than a garden. The base is Madagascar vanilla, white musk and soft woods, sweet, clean and lasting.
Wearers are split between moderate and long lasting on longevity, and the sillage is moderate for about half and strong for a third, so it is noticeable without shouting. Summer takes nearly half the seasonal votes and spring most of the rest, and it is largely worn by day. It suits hot weather, holidays and anyone who likes coconut and vanilla carried by flowers rather than by caramel.
