Blue de Chance is a 2022 men's fragrance from Maison Alhambra, woody at its core with a spicy edge most wearers notice, and musky and citrus facets reported by about half. A floral or amber impression is in the minority.
Grapefruit, lemon and mint give the opening a cold, sharp freshness, and ginger with pink pepper adds a tingling, dry heat behind it. Nutmeg and a thread of jasmine sit in the middle, warming the spice and softening it slightly. The base is where it settles: cedar and vetiver for clean, dry wood, sandalwood for smoothness, incense for a faint smokiness, and labdanum with white musk to give it a warm, skin-like trail.
