Bergamotto is a transparent citrus musk built almost entirely around its namesake fruit, released by the Italian house Laboratorio Olfattivo in 2021 and composed by Jean-Claude Ellena. It is worn by anyone.
Calabrian bergamot leads from the first spray, bright, slightly floral and less sharp than lemon, with bitter orange adding a drier, more grown-up citrus edge. Cardamom brings a cool, aromatic spice that keeps the opening from feeling like a simple cologne. As the citrus softens, white musk and musk come forward, giving a clean, skin-like warmth that carries the bergamot impression far longer than the fruit alone would last.
