Villa Sorrento, from the Italian house La Perla, was released in 2021 and composed by Roxanne Kirkpatrick. It is a citrus scent first: everyone calls it citrusy, about half also find it green or woody, and a quarter mention musk, flowers or amber.
The notes are given as one list, almost all of it citrus. Grapefruit, mandarin orange, green mandarin and blood orange bring a bright, bittersweet juiciness, while citrus leaves and petitgrain add the green, slightly bitter smell of the tree rather than just the fruit. Neroli gives a light orange-blossom floral lift. Woody notes, musk and ambergris form the base, dry and softly warm, keeping the scent on the skin once the citrus fades.
