Ecorce D'Argent by Korloff Paris, released in 2018 and worn by anyone, is a clean, dry woody fragrance. Everyone who describes it says woody; about a third also find it spicy, musky or citrusy.
Bergamot opens it with a light, slightly bitter citrus, and pink pepper adds a brief rosy sparkle. Cypress then sets the tone: cool, green and resinous, like the smell of conifer bark and needles, which fits the name. Vetiver brings a rooty, earthy dryness with a hint of smoke, and sandalwood softens the woods with a creamy smoothness. Musk forms the base and keeps the drydown close to the skin and gently warm rather than sharp.
No wearers have yet reported on longevity or sillage, and transparent woody compositions of this kind are usually moderate in both. It is an easy daytime scent for spring and autumn, suited to someone who likes woods kept fresh, green and uncomplicated.
