Addiction Petale

A clean, uncomplicated floral, Addiction Petale was released by Korloff Paris in 2019 and is worn by anyone. Everyone who describes it calls it floral; about a third also find it musky or citrusy.

The composition relies on five notes. Bergamot opens with a light, slightly bitter citrus that gives the flowers some air. Orange blossom follows, sweet and sunny with a faintly green edge, and sits beside jasmine, which adds a richer, more heady white-floral warmth. Rose rounds out the bouquet with a soft, familiar depth. Musk is the only base note, so the fragrance settles into a smooth, skin-like finish rather than wood or amber.

Wearers have not yet reported on longevity or projection, and compositions built on citrus, white flowers and musk are usually gentle rather than loud. That makes it a natural daytime choice for spring and summer, for someone who wants flowers without heaviness.
