Starlight Gold, a 2018 women's fragrance from Etienne Aigner, is a full, rich floral with a long list of ingredients. Everyone who describes it calls it floral, and about a quarter also find it sweet, green, musky, ambery and citrusy.
Bergamot and plum give a brief, fruity opening. The heart is dense: tuberose, jasmine and champaca bring a creamy, heady white-flower richness, ylang-ylang adds a banana-like sweetness, and rose, violet and white orchid round it out with softer, powdery tones. The base turns to oakmoss and moss for a dry, green depth, sandalwood for cream, vanilla and amber for warmth, and white musk for a clean finish.
This is an evening floral for cooler months and dressier occasions, suited to people who love big white bouquets with a mossy, slightly vintage base.
