Beautiful is a floral fragrance from Estée Lauder, composed by Sophia Grojsman, Bernard Chant and Max Gavarry and released in 1985. Flowers dominate, with lighter sweet, green, woody, herbal and citrus touches.
Rose, mandarin and bergamot open with a bright, fruity citrus, and galbanum adds a sharp, green edge. The heart is a huge bouquet: tuberose, lily of the valley, carnation and ylang-ylang among many others give a rich, creamy and slightly spicy floral fullness. The base of sandalwood, vanilla, amber and musk is warm and smooth.
About half of wearers find it long lasting, and sillage is strong or moderate, so it carries well. It is voted mostly for spring and largely for daytime. It suits weddings, celebrations and elegant occasions, and someone who loves big, classic floral bouquets in the style of the 1980s, rather than a sheer modern scent.
