Sorbetto Rosso, a 2018 release from the German house Escada, is a women's fruity scent that wearers describe as equally gourmand and fresh, with a floral side noticed by about half and musky, amber and citrus touches by a quarter. It smells like a red fruit sorbet eaten by the sea.
The opening pairs pear and tangerine with calone, a watery, melon-like material that gives an instant seaside freshness. The heart is a heap of summer fruit: strawberry and watermelon for juicy sweetness, apple for crispness, a pinch of sea salt to cut through it, and tiare flower, rose and hedione for a light, airy floral layer over watery notes. The base is soft and sweet, with praline adding a nutty, caramel richness, musk a clean skin feel and amber a gentle warmth.
