Metallic Acqua by Emanuel Ungaro, the French house, is a 2024 fragrance for men. Everyone who has described it calls it woody, musky and aromatic, and about half also find it resinous, ambery and citrusy.
The notes are unordered: bergamot gives a bright opening, Sichuan pepper a tingling, slightly citrusy spice, and lavender and sage a clean, herbal aromatic middle. Cedar and amberwood bring a dry, sharp woodiness, patchouli an earthy depth, labdanum a sticky resinous warmth, and ambrette a soft, slightly vegetal musk that keeps the finish close to the skin.
