Jasmin Cruel by the British house Edeniste, composed by Aurélien Guichard and released in 2022, is a green, woody white floral worn by anyone. Floral is the word everyone uses; about half also call it woody, and a minority find it musky or citrusy.

Bergamot opens it with zest, and green notes add a crisp, leafy, slightly bitter freshness that gives the start its edge. The heart is a white-flower study: jasmine for a heady, honeyed, slightly indolic richness, tuberose for a creamy, waxy depth, orange blossom for a sunny glow and neroli for a bittersweet, cleaner shade of the same flower. The base is dry and smooth: cedar for a pencil-shaving wood, sandalwood for creaminess and musk for a soft finish.
