Stardust Musk, composed by Gabriel Gabor for De Gabor in 2021 and worn by anyone, is a green, powdery floral musk. Floral is the unanimous description, about two-thirds also find it green, woody, musky and citrusy, and a third ambery.
Bergamot and lime give a sharp, clean citrus start, and galbanum adds a bitter, snapped-stem greenness that sets the tone. Italian orris root is the heart, cool, rooty and powdery, supported by jasmine for a touch of white-flower warmth. Pistachio and a gourmand accord bring a soft, nutty sweetness, with tonka bean adding an almond warmth. Tobacco leaf, cedar and oud form a dry, slightly smoky wood base, and musk with amber smooths the finish.
Longevity and sillage have not yet been reported. The orris and galbanum suit cooler, drier days in spring and autumn, and the fragrance fits someone who likes powder and green bitterness more than sweetness.
