Refined Woods from David Beckham's British fragrance line, released in 2021 and worn by anyone, is a woody floral with a soft, powdery heart. Woody and floral are both used by everyone who describes it; about half also call it sweet and herbal.
Lavender and geranium open it with a clean, aromatic, slightly rosy freshness. Orris root is the centre, cool, powdery and faintly earthy, giving the scent its smooth, understated floral character. Cedar brings a dry, pencil-like woodiness and vetiver an earthy, lightly smoky depth. Tonka bean closes the scent with a warm, almond-vanilla sweetness that softens the woods.
Reports on longevity and sillage have not yet been gathered. By character it suits spring and autumn, daytime and smart-casual evenings, and anyone who likes tidy, powdery woods without much fruit or sugar. It is sold in a mid-sized bottle.
