Amber Malaki

Amber Malaki is an amber scent first, with sweet, woody, floral and resinous sides about equally present. It comes from the Swiss house Chopard and was released in 2015 as a shared fragrance.

Orange blossom gives the opening a soft, honeyed floral brightness, the only light element before the warmth takes over. Papyrus adds a dry, slightly smoky, woody note that keeps the blend from becoming heavy. The core is labdanum and amber, warm, resinous and faintly leathery, with incense adding a cool, smoky thread. Bourbon vanilla brings the sweetness and the creamy, rounded finish, which is where the gourmand side comes from.
