Reveal Men, created for Calvin Klein in 2015 by Ann Gottlieb, Olivier Gillotin, Marypierre Julien and Rodrigo Flores-Roux, is a salty, sweet and boozy scent with a fresh edge. Sweetness and freshness lead equally, and about half of people also note spice, greenery, amber and leather.

Brandy opens it with a warm, boozy depth, joined by mastic for a resinous freshness, ginger for spice, and melon and pear for cool, juicy fruit. The heart is the most distinctive part: salt brings a mineral, skin-like note, clary sage a herbal touch, suede a soft texture and agave a green, slightly sweet freshness. The base is vetiver, amber and tonka bean, a warm, earthy and sweet finish.

Over half of wearers find it long lasting, and the trail is moderate to strong. It is voted for autumn and spring and worn by day and night almost equally. That suits dinners, evenings out and the office, for men who like an unusual, salty-sweet scent.
