Bella Absolu, a 2023 women's fragrance from the German house Baldessarini, is a fresh, fruity citrus. Everyone who describes it calls it citrusy, about two thirds also find it sweet, fresh and floral, and a third musky.
Pink grapefruit and yellow mandarin open it with a juicy, slightly bitter zest, and watery notes add a cool, dewy transparency. Black currant brings a tart, green fruitiness. The heart is gardenia and rose, creamy and sweet respectively, with marigold adding a slightly bitter, herbal floral edge. Musk and Orcanox in the base give a clean, radiant, long-lasting finish that reads as soft amber-musk rather than heavy warmth.
This is a warm-weather scent for daytime, holidays and summer evenings. It should appeal to people who like grapefruit fragrances with a floral heart and a clean, modern musk drydown.
