Ajmal released Aurum in 2011 as a sweet, floral fragrance for women. Wearers call it gourmand and floral above all, with musk close behind and smaller numbers noting spice, amber and citrus.
Raspberry and lemon open it, tart and juicy. The heart is a busy, fruity floral: gardenia and jasmine for creamy white flowers, orange blossom for a honeyed note, with extra fruit and a touch of spice keeping it lively. As it dries down, vanilla, musk and amber take over, softened by powdery and woody notes, so the finish is warm, slightly powdery and quite sweet.
About half of wearers report moderate longevity and a third find it long lasting; projection is mostly moderate, though a fair number call it strong. Autumn leads the season votes with spring second, and it is worn more by day than by night. It suits someone who likes a sweet, feminine scent that is noticeable without being overpowering.
