Malesia

Malesia is an amber fragrance from Xerjoff, composed by Chris Maurice. Amber leads clearly, about half of those who describe it find it sweet, and smaller groups notice wood, musk, flowers and resin.

Lily of the valley gives a light, clean floral touch that keeps the opening from feeling dense. The core is resinous and warm: labdanum brings a deep, honeyed, slightly leathery amber, while gurjun and tolu balsams add a soft, balmy sweetness with a hint of wood. Laotian oud gives a dry, smoky darkness underneath. Vanilla, tonka bean, amber and musk round the base into a smooth, cosy glow.
