Oud Noir

Oud Noir by Khadlaj Perfumes, released in 2018, is a woody fragrance according to everyone who rates it, with about two thirds also calling it ambered. A third find it spicy, sweet or floral. It follows the classic oud, rose and saffron pattern with a fruity twist.

Raspberry gives the opening a tart, slightly jammy fruitiness, and saffron adds a leathery, faintly metallic warmth. Rose forms the floral heart, deep rather than fresh. Agarwood sits beneath with a dark, resinous woodiness, and cypriol adds an earthy, smoky, slightly leathery edge that reinforces it. Incense brings a thread of smoke, patchouli an earthy depth, and amber a soft, resinous sweetness that rounds off the base and gives the scent its warm glow.
